Who We Are

Lumina- A latin word that means to luminate because this initiative has been created to serve the people by luminating people’s possibilities and unlocking potentials.

Lumina Futures Initiative (LFI) is a youth-focused initiative dedicated to expanding access to opportunities for young people. We believe that talent exists everywhere, but access to opportunities is not always equal. Through mentorship, leadership, information sharing, and meaningful partnerships, we help young people discover pathways that broaden their horizons and support their growth.

Founder's Story

" Growing up in Eastlands, I saw countless talented young people with big dreams and immense potential. What many lacked was not ambition; it was access. Access to information, mentorship, networks, and opportunities that could help shape their future.

Learning French opened doors, I never knew existed. It introduced me to international opportunities and showed me how a single opportunity can transform the way you see your future. Yet I realized that many young people never discover these possibilities simply because no one tells them they exist. That realization inspired me to found the Lumina Futures Initiative (LFI). Our mission is to bridge the gap between untapped potential and opportunity by connecting young people with scholarships, mentorship, leadership development, career pathways, and global opportunities.

I believe that a young person's future should be shaped by their talent, determination, and willingness to grow, not by the opportunities they were never exposed to.”
